Dr. Khodadadeh stands out as the sole female ophthalmologist and the only Ivy League Fellowship trained glaucoma and cataract surgeon in Indian River County
The founder and medical director of Panacea Eye Center, Dr.Khodadadeh performs modern medical eye care. She fell in love with Ophthalmology while on rotation as a medical student, seeing how patients valued their eye more than any other sense. She knew she was destined to improve and preserve eyesight for patients as a lifetime career.
After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Khodadadeh wanted a better scientific understanding of medical conditions. She obtained a Masters of Medical Sciences and researched treatments for breast cancer, diabetes, and multiple sclerosis at the Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in Detroit.
While she enjoyed learning more about the science behind medical conditions, her love for patient care took her back to Medical School where she obtained her Medical Doctorate (MD) from Wayne State University.
After completing her residency training, she developed her cataract surgery skills in private practice for 2 years before returning to complete her glaucoma fellowship at Yale University. While at Yale, she taught residents general ophthalmology and cataract surgery as a Clinical Instructor and focused on treating cataract and glaucoma patients with combination procedures to potentially avoid additional surgery.
